Sing Sister Sing – The Pfister Sisters – Cinderella Brown
David McCain and Andrue Scott wrote and produced a show based on the career of the Boswell Sisters. The show was produced in New Orleans in March of 1984 and starred the Pfister Sisters. From a recording of that show we have a clip of the Pfister Sisters, Holley Bendtsen, Yvette Voelker and Suzy Malone, singing “Little Cinderella Brown.” This is a song that the Boswell Sisters recorded for the Continental Broadcasting Company in 1930.

Hello, I was a high school classmate of Scott Andru then (Drue Oppenheim). I looked for him on YouTube and have this wonderful clip from you. Did you know that Andru, now only 59 years old, is terminally ill and in a hospice in Minneapolis? If not, and if you want to talk to him or receive a message to him, please email me at LManheim at AOL. I know that if he could, he would go to the Boswell Sisters to celebrate now. Lynn

Wow, Hoopinky, it’s pretty awesome to see how I looked 23 years ago! Even the sound is on this great band. We were with a real vintage RCA microphone. Suzy’s doing pretty well, playing the piano.
