what neighborhoods in/around Portland, OR are good to live in to access the outdoor activities?
Does it make sense to live outside the city limits to save $ $ $ taxes? What do you know about Milwalkee, right?

Do not move to Oregon. Seattle is a much better place to live. Too much crime in Oregon.

Milwaukee is pretty boring, and about 10 minutes to downtown Portland. I live in Gresham, and it is very beautiful and outside the city limits. Outside the city is very beautiful, but it just depends on what you want.

You can use the outdoor activities from almost anywhere in the greater Portland area. Portland is the nature. The western sector is growing fast and has access to the coast – ie Hillsboro, Banks, North Plains, Forest Grove – access in about one to two hours. lThis) is also access to the Columbia River (40 minutes north) and the greater Seattle / Vancouver area (4 hours north.

Gresham / Troutdale is a good choice – near the Gorge and Mt Hood, and cheaper. And the train takes you in the heart of downtown. Hopefully, better restaurants and shops will work its way here you schließlich.Vermeiden Rockwood, but there are some very beautiful places.

Milwaukie is one of the cheapest. . . therefore, is boring for most. Although, by bus, it’s easy to dwtn to Portland and I would rather take the bus on the MAX.Gresham is ok. You can take the MAX to Portland and it is closer to the Mt Hood 20 to 30 Minuten.Beaverton is young and professional, it is Hillsboro. Lake Oswego is where the wealthier “families” leben.Clackamas is beautiful, closer to Mt Hood, such as Gresham, but not MAX. . . it is also a Familienbereich.Gladstone is a family business that serves outside Milwaukie.Seattle is great to! But I know more people outside in the Portland area. It is easier to climb on the sea beaches, better knowledge of skiing and more mountains. Seattle, Portland, or so the population has nearly doubled ungefähr.Viel luck!
